Nike Huarache Shoes
The story of the Huarache line goes back to 1991 when the first Nike Air Huarache model appeared on the market.
Once again, it was Tinker Hatfield who took care of creating the design. This time he drew inspiration from water skiing. He figured that the neoprene used for socks for water skiing would be perfect for creating the new model of sneakers. He wanted the material to be visible. As neoprene is a soft material, it had to be somehow supported. This function is fulfilled by stripes around the heel. Back in the 90s, Nike Air Huarache was rather a bold move. The name Huarache is generally associated with a summer footwear. This is how Sandy Bodecker, the head of the Nike project unit commented on the model. Surprisingly, this “summer” model became one of the all-times classics and inspired many other designs. Few years after, such models as Nike Huarache Trainer and Air Flight Huarache designed in cooperation with Kobe Bryant were created. Recently, Nike designers came up with other models of the line, such as Huarache NM and Huarache Light. The most surprising feature of this line i s the fact that you will not find the characteristic swoosh on any pair. Each shoe is based upon a sole made of light Phylon foam rubber, which is responsible for improved amortisation, and is equipped in Air-Sole system installed in the heel and the front part of the foot in order to minimise impact. Our range of products include both: Nike Huarache for men and women in various material and colour variants.
